In BVI, with effect from 1 July 2017, the Beneficial Ownership Secure Search System (“BOSS”) Act came into force. This applicable change provides a mechanism for UK and local law enforcement agencies to access previously confidential beneficial ownership information by making a formal request to a local Competent Authority.
